Front Tribar LED with Sequential Turn MOD! (new thread)

You could have saved quite some time if you removed that lower black plastic (can't remember the name..) with the bumper without unscrewing it - removing the screws that are keeping it fixed to the chassis

However, the wait is worth the result!!

I always heard that with the plastic bottom part installed to the bumper it's more dangerous to remove the side of the bumper, because it's not as flexible and you actually just rip that thing off

But I had fun uninstalling everything slowly, so it was worth the time

Bad news :(

We have determined that depending on the input voltage levels on some vehicles, the turn signal function may not work when the vehicle is running. Essentially, when the vehicle is running, the microcontroller does not see the right signal to activate the turn signal. Works great when the vehicle is off, but sometimes when it's running, the turn signal just doesn't trigger. We have been able to replicate the problem on our Mustang and are sending replacement driver units immediately to all who have purchased the kit. You will get an email today.

Extremely frustrating, as we have been working with this same driver design and microcontroller for months with no problems. I'm sorry to keep you guys waiting even longer, but you will be up and running very soon. Thanks for your patience.

Got a first Picture of my tribars. On the left side is the known solution, on the ride side are my headlights with the new DD boards.

They will be shipped today, so everything will be in time for a big Mustang Meeting on the upcoming Weekend.

Can't wait to finally see have them, I will share lots of pics and Videos once they are here and installed :cheers:

No, but he said that his are a bit brighter - But I don't know if he used parking light oder drl for comparison. I can do a direct comparison of both Solutions next weekend

For Color, as it was mentioned here, I think his are 5500k and DD is 6000k

Yeah color on right seems a bit colder, and on the left seems a bit brighter, but they appear equally good!

Yeah, both should be great for a good visibility as EU DRLs

Thanks Ace for the comparison picture. Indeed, DD's version seems a bit colder with the color and a bit less bright.

Also got the tracking code now. Guess they arrive on wednesday or thursday. But seems like DD still needs a while for the corrected drivers, so may not have fully function sequential turn signals at first

My Tribars are finally in! Took me the whole day... First I put the lower plastic part into the wrong slot of the bumper - so the bumper had to go off again. Then the damn parking lights wouldnt fit into his slot... Ended up making a new smaller seal ring so it fits again.

But the new tribars are so awesome! Perfekt 6k white, and the best part: No sign of any LED spot on Parking Light and DRL. Ok I have to say the parking light is really just a little bit darker than the DRL. But they are the perfect brightness, bot too bright but good visble even at daytime. Again, they are so awesome! Why can't Ford make them OEM, best Mod I've ever done on my car!

Sequential lights are a bit faster than the other solution, as we know, but I think the sequence is still very good visible

Too bad it was too dark when I was finished to get good pics of everything. But here's a small video and two pics from a test at installing them.

Tomorrow I will wash my car, so then I will make good pics and videos of it.

Thanks for sharing, I'm sure it will really help a lot of people out! Looks like we did the blinker way too slow in our video, definitely looks correct here.
