I currently have a 305/45/17 rear with a 275/35/20 up front but I’m looking to get some 18” front runners. Trying to decide whether to get the 26/6/18 or 28/6/18. So I wanted to see if I could get some personal opinions on the preferences.

28" will give you a slightly longer rollout which will in turn give you a slightly quicker et, but the 26" will give you a slightly better reaction time. Kind of depends on what exactly you want out of the car. I went for the 28" MT et front runner. It's light and gives me the rollout I wanted for the best et.

Have you ever done any street driving with them? Im wanting it to be a fun weekend car as well and possibly keeping them on. If you have is there anything you don’t like about the 28”?

Yes, but not really recommended by most. I have two sets of wheels and tires. One for the track and one for the street, but I do drive them on the street a decent amount. Just have to be careful cornering and braking. Not much difference on the street between the two imo. It's the skinny wheel/tire combo itself that you have to alter your driving for on the street.

Got it. Thanks for the input. I’ve been seeing a lot of people drive on skinnies recently so I’ve been looking at getting them for both track days and fun nights.

That's basically what I do too. I have in the past run them 100% of the time, but it's nice to have two sets. Just keep in mind they don't corner and brake as well, adjust driving accordingly and you'll be fine.

I was probably gonna go with the 26” because I’ve heard they’re less “floaty” than the 28” but I’m also thinking about the driveshaft angle with the 26” tall and if it’s a problem to run with the 28” tall rear. But I don’t think the driveshaft angle is quite a problem because I’ve also seen maybe people run that setup.

What did you end up going with? I’m debating on a 26 or 28 since I mainly drive on the street too
