Isn't this similar to oem honeycomb grille. just without the horse?

Also I don't want to start my own thread if I can avoid it (I have a tendency to flood boards):

I am not a handyman, I..am just terrible. I do want to plastidip the horse as I've been told it blends in more than paint to the texture of the grille.

It's easier to to take it out of the grille and then plastidip? I hear something about "breaking clips" in the back that hold it in place. That sounds intimidating and scary, and you guys just tape it back? That's ok??
