Can anyone tell me how the front bracket gets mounted? They don't drill visible holes in the front right?

Yes they drill it in the 31 states unless you can talk to them before it comes off the truck, I started a thread about mine. Looks terrible once I pulled off the holder. Can a body shop fix this? Reading that plugs don't look too great.

Mine didn't have the holes drilled yet. When I bought the car the salesman asked if I wanted them to drill the holes. I said no way!
In Maryland they will absolutely stop you for not having front tags.
I found a no drill front license plate bracket from Craig's Custom Mustang Bracket and it has been working awesome. Absolutely no holes drilled, very secure and you can easily take it off whenever you want. Highly recommended!

Ditto...very happy with mine. It mounts the plate where I like it positioned.
I second (or third or whatever...).

I should add that my plan was to go frontless (no holes predrilled by dealer either) until forced to otherwise by the law. That lasted two months.

If anyone here cares to share their experience of requesting front plate bracket not to be mounted: and it was not as requested or was mounted by mistake, I just started a thread with a poll with these choices as well as several other dealer pick up experience outcomes to help those of us that have their dealer pick up ahead of us.

Appreciated,
Dave

Illegal tint (including windshield) on my last 07 mustang and no front license plate - no problems. Whenever I saw a cop I'd roll down the windows though :)

Just got my windows tinted on my '15 a few days ago, looks so sick on this car! 70/20/5

I used to be a rebel but they seem to have cracked down on this in the last few years, especially around Hollywood, Beverly Hills, etc. Just not worth the hassle now so I'll definitely have the plate mounted.

My salesman took the liberty of putting the LP mount in my trunk. He said he figured I didn't want them drilling holes in my bumper.

Dont drive on the 10 between Beverly Hills and Downtown.

There is a group of CHP guys stopping you for no front plates and loading ticket up to the neck, and marking them all as not repairable.

$585 in my BMW for no front plates, tinted front windows (mind you they were 50% tint), tint on glass where 3rd brake light is. No plates on car, even though it was 2.5 months old. He stopped me, even though it was new but there was no brackets for a plate so regardless of new or not, you had no intentions of putting them on and drilling holes. DMV showed plated where issued to vin, so he said deal with it.
Damn Joe he reamed you. I didnt know they could tell the plate was issued to the VIN. I was gonna say "I havent received my plates yet officer" lol.

Still no front plate and I dont have any plans or intentions of installing one :D

I know they're required by Law.. any rebels out there planning on not putting them on?
Drove my 2013 for about 6 months with no front plate, No issues. Friend is driving his 1997 GT no front plate, no issues.

However, I was stopped for speeding in my 2015 and in the system it showed that I was issued plates, So I got a ticket for no plates and will be forced to place both to take it to CHP.

I did get stopped in my 2013 3-4 times and they never mentioned the plate, Except once, He told me it's required but that he wasn't going to give me a ticket for it.
