Can folks share info and maybe a pic (black out tag) of the solution you've found to mount a front tag on the Mach1?
I live is a state that requires a front plate.
I'm looking at:
- The sto-n-go. Does it clear the splitter? Is there air flow issues?
- The Grimmspeed mount that uses the tow bar location. It is sold for the Focus RS, does it fit?
Are there others out there that you would recommend?

I've recommended this to other Mustang owners I've come across.

I dealt with the sto-n-go but I didn't love it. Had to figure out what do do when I got my GT500 front bumper, because I really didn't wanna drill it.

Stumbled onto Craig's and I'm really happy with it.

It's actually attached underneath that lip, just above the lower grill.
It uses 3M adhesive, and has lasted about a year so far through a cold NY winter and hot summer.
The preparation is everything. I'd reccomend getting some of those 3M adhesive prep sponges from Amazon and prepping the surface beforehand. And if I ever decided to rip it off, even if it does damage, itl be up under the bumper mostly out of sight.

Not 100% sure if it fits the Mach 1 but it worked with my GT500 bumper. Might even be able to communicate with them and find out.

Forgot to point out. My Craig's bracket is easily removable/adjustable like the Sto-N-sho.
I had the Sto-n-sho for 3 years, and while it did the job, I don't think I'd go back to it. The easy on/off mechanism rusted up solid after a New York winter or two.

The bracket/plate stuck out pretty far from my splitter and constantly scraped coming out of parking lots and driveways. My plate was completely mangled and the constant impacts on the bracket destroyed the underside of my splitter where it was attached. I had to MacGyver it and re attach the bracket with a spacer cuz the plate/bracket was actually bent inwards.

Craig's for the Mach 1, definitely! FYI, there's another thread with a long standing discussion about the front plate issue.

I do this on my cars.

get a like 8 inch by 12 inch or whatever size your plate is of paint protection film, put it on your bumper.

then. put an outline of double sided tape, around the edge (ON the paint protection film) put the license plate onto it. it will never come off, I do this with my motorcycles under my rear, and on my cars.

if you ever want to remove it, just use a little steam, and you can separate the plate from the tape, and remove the paint protection film off car. no damage.

+1 for Craig's Brackets

I had a Sto N Sho on my 19 GT and it worked fine, but there's no way I'd use one on my GT350. It's so low to the ground I'd probably scrape the bracket, and the version I had required drilling. Craig's bracket was really easy to install, no drilling, and holds the plate well. And it's simple to remove when I don't want it any longer.

Iā€™ve got the Graigā€™s bracket on the Shelby and the Sto n Go on the Roush. I think the placement of the Graigā€™s bracket looks more like factory plate position. The Sto n Go bracket sits really low. Eventually I think Iā€™m going to purchase a Graigā€™s bracket for the Roush.

Mine was drilled on before I could even tell them not to.... I took it off and I'll be capping the holes with 3/16" caps from Lowe's that I painted myself for less than a dollar.

+1 for craigs bracket. All the guys in my club saw it and said "wish we knew about this one before drilling our bumpers" . Had it for 8 months now and it's solid as a rock.
