I didnt want the one that mounts under the lip because I figure it may disrupt the aero effect around it. I have the craig bracket and the 3M mount is plenty strong and you can still easily detach the plate from the mount if you want

Thanks for posting a pic. Have a Craig's bracket and was thinking about mounting it to the side IMO it looks way better offset than in the middle.

Definitley looks better imo, plus its more flush with the bumper this way since the middle of the bumper comes to a point. Youd have a gap between the bumper and the back of the plate if you put it right in the middle

I have a Craig's bracket too. Waiting on my personalized plates to get it setup. I too was concerned about the strength and am very happy to see the positive reviews here.

I managed to completely mutilate my Sto-n-Sho bracket. Too many low curbs. I'm now moving onto the Craigs. Hopefully I'll get the hang of not pulling too far forward and not mutilate my front end w/o the Sto-n-Sho to take the hit.

I've had mine over a year. I got a revised base with different tape which is stronger than the first version I had. It's held from temperatures ranging from -10 deg to 100 deg F. So far, so good.
