OppoLock, that really sucks dude. I would be absolutely pissed if I saw my car like that.
I know when I had to have work done on my '01, I requested that it stay inside at all times and they always did. Is that something you think they would do for you? Kills me to see a brand new car just open to the elements like that...

I have the benefit that my car is NOT a daily driver at the moment. Right now my Acadia does the job for me in the winter and early spring. I do drive by my Mustang every day even if its out of my way to make sure no one's done anything to it. I would be SO butthurt if someone did something to it. People don't CARE. I hate people like that.

Florida drivers are the worst...

Last winter I was in St Augustine. I was parked on a six lane street. A SUV came roaring up and cut from a middle lane to a Walgreen's entry. But missed the entry, instead jumped the curb and took out a shrub. Burned rubber and then slammed on the brakes at the Pharmacy drive thru. I thought it was a medical emergency until I heard the woman driver start to scream at the window about being late for her hair
appointment.

In a van or truck, you can't see a Mustang in the rear view mirror if the car is close. I love the rear camera-reverse assist in my 3/4 ton pickup. More than once I have come to an intersection only to be cut off by heavy cross traffic. I then have to back off the cross-walk. The camera lets you know if there is a small car hiding back there. I also have a new dash cam ready to install when the convertible finally gets here.
Some Forum members keep denouncing these 'nanny' devices...saying if you were "a real driver'...these situations would not occur. I really don't have the time to call the police, collect the other driver's insurance information, contact my insurance agent, get an estimate, pay the deductible, and take the time off work to get the damage repaired. I guess I don't have time to play 'macho'.

This happened at the movies the other night, no information left or anything. Sucks! Mod time I guess!
I am truly sorry this has happened to you. I have expressed countless times on this forum, and this is the 4th time I am typing this message.

Get a 2 Channel Dash Cam with Parking Mode. It records when the car is off and when there is motion. Not only would you have gotten the perps car description but you would have gotten their plates and then you can claim it on their insurance. They would probably get in trouble for the hit and run.

I recommend BlackVue. I am using the DR530W 2 channel model.

I've been down here 10 months. I moved from Chicago to be close to family, but honestly can't f****** wait to leave. Now that I got a new position with Bank of America, I may try to transfer out in a year once I get established and maybe (hopefully) get promoted. They have another site in Chandler Arizona that they're opening up.

I miss Midwestern politeness and courtesy. My mother and aunt owned a salon in Chicago for 25 years. She's semi-retired but still works a few days at a salon down here in Tampa. She could count on one hand the number of rude people she had up north in the Chicago burbs in two decades of owning a business. Here she gets at least several people a week who are total a-holes.
Outside of the beach, I've begun to hate this place with a passion.
Passing through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, especially Wisconsin, I was shocked at how nice people were. You can tell it's just a completely different world.

Living in the DC/NOVA area, we have the complete opposite.

She's in tip top shape my friends. :) I picked her up a while ago and I've just been too busy hooning the hell out of her to bother updating this thread. Almost forgot about the whole situation!

These guys did a better job of aligning the fenders than Ford did from the factory, go figure! Only two niggles are that the door hinge has a very minor squeak now and the stops are slightly less pronounced. Minor bummer. And it looks like the inside face of my trip monitor screen thing has some residue build up. I have no flipping idea how that can get cleaned out. Also just a minor issue.

No pics yet. I'll try to remember to snap some later.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone. :)

If there's no bumper damage, maybe you could get a wrap for the bumper that matches your Oxford White and then have built-in bug and chip protection.

That's awesome! Glad you got your pony back and that she's repaired to your satisfaction. Great attitude, too. Water under the bridge. Dig it.
