I encourage my friends to drive mine since I mostly hear the "you bought a 4 banger stang, that thing must suck".

Shuts 'em up right quick after they do drive it.

People are funny. Cars will come and go, even if you don't want the car to go, who's to say you won't get rear ended by a Greyhound bus the next time you're driving?

It's not a vintage Ferrari or something....

A couple friends have driven mine. Both Chevy guys and they were blown away by my car. The look of enjoyment on their faces was more than worth it. Maybe y'all just have shitty friends...

I'm picky about who drives my car, most people I know grind gears or ride the clutch. I'll eventually teach my future gf ( just dumped my ex) was thinking if tuning the car in valet mode would help

That wouldn't make any difference on the basics of driving a manual.
I'd rather limit the rpm compared to having a new person bang it off the limiter. 1st time manual drivers always forget to shift gears

Never again will I!! a long time ago when I was in highschool I had a camaro z28 H.O. Stick. I think it was an 84. Anyway my friend needed to run home to do something...he normally drove a VW bug stick! I told him I will let you drive it, but don't go driving like a race at driver...I live in this neighborhood and don't speed around here. Reason being if somebody were to come tell my parents I was speeding through the neighborhood my dad would take my car away! Soooo what does he do?!?! He makes it about 1 block and decides to smoke the tires around every corner possible all the way to his house! He lived about 3 miles away and I am pretty sure I heard him the whole way home and back!
When he got back I said wtf are you doing? He denied all tire smoking until I ran my hand down the rear fender to wipe off all the rubber dust...he then said yeah I might have burned out a few times! Lol
The next day a few neighbors knocked on our door and I lost my car for a few weeks! My dad said " I told you not to let friends take your car just for that reason"
The only friend I let drive is my dad!

Let a friend DD to the bar in it. Oversteered in a corner and ran it into a concrete barrier. Had to replace both bumpers, 2 rims, headlight and windshield washer reservoir.

Nobody wants to drive mine, even when I offer. They're all scared of wrecking it. I'm not precious with my cars but I try to keep them non-thrashed. Nobody who I trust to drive it can drive a manual transmission car anyways so they shy away from it.

This is the first "nice" car I ever had.

As long as I'm in the car I don't mind letting someone drive it. So far I've let my Mom, my older brother, my step-dad, and I've even taught my GF how to drive stick in it. Not only does it give everyone that drove it a smile on their faces but they get an understanding on why I bought it. Most people drive cars that get them A to B and don't really have any idea why people buy cars that aren't practical during this day and age. At least until they drive the Mustang. It makes any sort of drive a blast and your daily commute doesn't have to be mundane. Buying and driving a car doesn't have to be logical but it can definitely be an emotional experience. So if you trust someone enough I think it would be nice to share an experience with them. You might even have a new future Mustang owner in front of you.

Most first time manual drivers I've seen kill the engine in 1st, or slip the hell out of the clutch, or grind gears because they can't synchronize the clutch with shifting - usually all three noob moves. Haven't seen too many inexperienced manual drivers rev the engine to redline between gears ... that comes after they become an 'expert'. But yeah, too bad MyKey doesn't allow RPM limitation for many reasons to have a MyKey.
