I’m thinking about marketing a Frankenstein cat-back for my 2019. The parts are a Steeda H-pipe paired with the 3in MBRP street piping h-pipe back in to MBRP Street mufflers.

Let’s hear comments or recommend. Let’s keep smart ass answer to a minimum

it will be loud & glorious as long as you keep your stock headers/cats. I need to get a sound clip for you on my combo. Sorry its been raining here & just got her back from getting Circle D in last Friday night (late).

Why, when the MBRP catback already has an H pipe? I don't see what you're getting from this.

Lol nice. I can’t wait to get your sound clip. Worse case I can always put my stock resonator back on if to loud. Doubtful

Keep in mind you may have to cut the steeda h pipe a bit depending on the dimensions of the rest of the exhaust. I know for an h pipe to work on my borla system which had a resonator I had to trim it down a bit as it was longer than the resonator taken out.

I actually looked at the pictures on vendors sites to see if it was shorter and would work for you like it did for me but it actually looks like it might not fit. The steeda h pipe only has a small bend in it where as the mbrp street’s h pipe looks like it’s almost at a 45 degree angle. Maybe you can still get a custom one made or contact mbrp and see if they will just sell you the h pipe?

Thanks bro I would’ve never thought about all that. I might just buy a new mbrp cat back at this rate. I can just sell the h pipe. It’s still in the box anyway. Long as the mbrp street isn’t raspy all show be ok.

But being that the full cat back is 3ins will I lose any low end torque.

I don’t think you’ll notice any drop in torque and if you’re planning on adding more power and doing headers in the future the 3 is a better option. Even if you did lose any torque the weight you would drop off the car would probably make it unnoticeable. Oh and one more thing I noticed about the steeda h pipe is that it’s made for stock systems to delete the res so it’s 2.5” and would’ve needed an adapter to work with the mbrp system.
