I used the Curt C56088 and a Add-A-Circuit to the inside fuse box and it works fine.

Weight limit is based on the frame, not the motor, if you go to the Hitch manufacture you will notice there is a weight limit of 2000 pounds... I have towed at 2k already... I have 3 trailers - I often tow my little one around. Ecoboost will have no issues towing, boat or jet ski... just get a custom extended receiver at least 2 feet long to stay out of the water.

i know i will have many flame me on this but ill most likely be buying a jetski along with the ecoboost mustang. im sure the mustang can handle towing a jetski but what about pulling it out of the water?
I used to tow a 16’ Donzi with a 1982 280ZX Turbo m/t. I highly doubt you will have any problem with the Mustang. Just make sure you get the right hitch and lights if the are not designed for the car you can destroy the electrical system and always disconnect them before you dunk the trailer
