This might seem like a strange question but I have to pass by a quarry on the way to work and trucks pull in and out of their all the time and its dusty a lot. Do I have to worry about anything coming from their damaging or corroding my car? Or am I just being too paranoid about having a new car since a lot of cars travel by their all the time. LOL. Here's a link to what it looks like on Google Earth. I think it used to be a Golf course.

If there are trucks coming in and out you can get sprayed with gravel, yes.

From my experience if it's a dusty yard they should have atruck wash to minimize the dust tanned out onto the road. What are they digging up? If it's a salt quarry you might be worried about rust.
Realistically there may be more gravel on the road near the quarry just because it's there. Any vehicle can pick up gravel from the road and fling it at you. Certainly it's more likely with trucks than cars.

As mentioned above possibly a different route? Clear bra might be a good option for you.

I would change my route if I were you.

After many bad experiences, I go out of my way to avoid construction zones, or anywhere that might have a lovely combination dirt, sand, or gravel and trucks. If you're unlucky enough, one of the trucks will aim carefully at your car and shoot a tiny gravel at you which can easily damage your paint.

If you're (un)lucky enough like myself, you'll get shot at on the windshield, leaving a chip.

Or two.

Or three.

And then you'll go hand over your hard-earned money to a stranger to replace the wind shield on your baby because repairing it just won't look good, and it might cause more damage due to the number of chips.

Thankfully, I learned my lesson before getting my Mustang.

Seriously, avoid gravel.

I could go another route but it takes me out of my way and longer.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. More time enjoyed driving the Mustang. :D

NEVER GO DOWN THAT ROAD AGAIN! I know what can happen down on those roads. Those trucks can spill a LOT of rocks onto your car. If you're in front of them and they have to slam the brakes on, you get rocks smashing your windows and putting lots of damage in your roof. If your behind them, pretty much the same problem except on your front! I've had that happen to my sister before, she had to get a new car. Thankfully, it was just a crap car because she was on her P's now.

I commute past a quarry, and small pebbles are always a concern. I've had a few small rock chips on the hood and windshield over a roughly 15 year period. The trucks do have a number you can call to get reimbursed for repair costs, but that's a small consolation.

Overall it isn't a huge issue IMO, but it will definitely increase the chances of minor damage.
