I'm halfway through the install of a new Steeda shifter, meaning I removed the OEM shifter. I had my tools and the various nuts and bolts I removed all underneath the car and decided to clean up for the night. While doing so, I found this small metal clip, and I don't recall intentionally removing anything like it... And, I'm pretty sure it wasn't under the car before I started. Anyone have any idea?

You can chunk it. They all come on the stock shifter bracket to help retain them from the factory which why it’s kinda difficult to remove, but it’s one time use only.

Thanks! Makes sense. I didn't see it come off. It certainly didn't seem like a clip that held anything too securely. I guess that may have also been the purpose of the zip tie that was left around the stock shifter body...

No problem. If you want to see where it was check out the mgw installation video. You probably yanked on it hard enough to not notice.
