I don't know how the OP did the integration. I used a DSR1 set to 4V input with the weblink desktop from Maestro.Missed that. They must not have setup the gains right like you said.
They got the signal directly from the stock amp is what I was told. Also, did you disable factory EQ with forscan? How did the shop interface your aftermarket amps with the factory head unit? Did they use a harness? Did they tie in before the factory amp (low-level) or after (high-level)?
I have low-level signals feeding my DSP and 5 channel amp. I have my gains set properly to use the entire range on the volume knob. I can turn the volume all the way to max before clipping starts.
Sound to me like the shop tied into the high-level signals which are going to be noisier and start to clip right around 23 on the dial.
The road noise is likely drowning out the music. These cars have a lot of road noise. Sitting still I comfortably listen at 10 but rolling down the street I will need to turn it up higher a few ticks on the dial. Nature of the beast.
This tells me you are not using a DSR1. You didn't mention one in your first post. They got the signal directly from the stock amp is what I was told. Also, did you disable factory EQ with forscan?
agree. It is being altered twice. The dsr1 is suppose to bypass. This tells me you are not using a DSR1. You didn't mention one in your first post.
Did the installer grab the low-level signals before the amp or did they tap into the speaker outputs of the amp?
If they tapped into the speaker outputs, that explains why your system sounds bad.
Do you have a link for the dsr1 and anything else I'd need?No need for ForScan if using the DSR1 for integration.
Shouldn't my Alpine DSP already be doing what the DSR1 is supposed to do? Considering it's also a DSP.
Thanks for the help! Not the integration. That’s the Maestro part of the DSR1. I have a Mosconi Pico 8/10 for DSP, but still use the DSR1 for integration.
I have to correct me.No need for ForScan if using the DSR1 for integration.
