I often immediately call my customers idiots when I get off the phone with them - because they often do something foolish. As others have stated, it's a good thing I'm not recorded at work.

You cant trust anyone, especially someone that would talk shit like this about someones elses car. I couldn't care less what others THINK someones work ethic is like. Dash cams wont record the jackass dinging your door into a parked car, not putting in exactly the right amount of oil, I could go on.... your true personality and feelings show when you think nobody is watching and I wouldnt let this jackass touch my car after hearing this.
That's fine for you, but that's based no less on assumptions than my positon. Mechanics are often biased car guys, how do you know a mechanic that you're pleased with isn't a passionate Chevy guy, hates your car, talks shit while he's fixing it, but still does an awesome job?

Personally, I trust very few mechanics and do what I can on my own, but I'm more worried about crooks than biases.

I deal with people who have firearms in there hands. I can tell you most people I see who own firearms are just plain unsafe. i cuss all the time behind customers back cause they point loaded guns at people, them selfs, etc. I can't imagine a customer recording me talk shit about somebody who just pointed a loaded shotgun at me and then crying about it to my boss.

Theres a lot of what ifs being thrown around, even from myself, but Id rather err on the side of the mechanic being a total piece of crap with a high potential of not doing the job right, if he talks about customer cars like this. Oh well, sorry not sorry for offending any mechanics that do talk like this about customer vehicles..

Spot on about the automatic part
Only spot on thing is you're just as much as a ---- as the guy in the video ragging on someones choice of transmission.

This wasn't that bad and I personally wouldn't have sent the video to management.

but...

I always leave my dash cam on for my own protection and always review footage after It's dropped off for service or installations. I do not tell anybody that I have my dash cam on and I don't care what people say about illegally recording and all this BS...it's my car and my property, so once you enter, I have every right to record what's going on.
That is your opinion and not legal fact.

I saw your post before and I was quite confused since I thought you had a GT. Holzer is one of the absolute worst dealerships I've ever had the misfortune of working with.

So what you are saying is that over half of the people on this site that bash the Camaro or even another Mustang because they don't like their taste in mod's are basically going to put dents in the Camaro or Mustang just because they talk shit...Alrighty then.

You fail to realize these guys are PURPOSELY doing this because they are being recorded and they don't like it! I guarantee almost all of these cases if the camera was completely hidden the same guy would not be acting like that.

Agree. You have that right and you are right it wasn't necessary IMO to bring up to management. I'd bet even management laughed as soon as the OP turned his back.

And like what you said about you have the right to record because it's your property. The technician has a write to speak his mind because he is his own property as well. Fair game.

If we don't care or respect individuals being recorded and then publicly showing these individuals without their consent then we cant get bent out of shape about their opinion if and when they think like this (:barf:) about your stuff. At least they are being honest...Meanwhile ya'll are trying to be sneaky and demonstrating a lack of trust and respect to these folks that work on your vehicle.

Yea that is about the perfect way to sum up that BS.....I swear we as a society just want to give anyone a reason to act like a douche and than protect them and baby them. How about this go to work and be happy and act professionally and I bet these issues wouldn't come up. It never ceases to amaze me I swear people like you guys are the reason I worry about the future of this country...... You take a vehicle in you expect for it and yourself to be treated with care and respect. I worked for the public for some time and I know the jobs I have worked management would not tolerate behavior like this and they shouldn't. Stop giving people excuses for the way they behave and start holding the accountable for behavior and being disrespectful

LOL. I bet the technician does EXACTLY that. You bring your car in get the service you deserve and he nods and smiles and tells you have a nice day.

These folks are showing off because people like YOU don't give them the respect in the first place. You want to talk about behavior and being disrespectful....How is it any different secretly recording someone and publicly displaying? LOL ALL DAY LONG! Listen to your own advice!

And to talk about douche...The tech said it to you on camera basically between you and him...Ya'll take it a step further and cry about it on the internet...Yeah the technician is the real douche alright. HILARIOUS!

So you walk around with me all day long huh and know how I act. When I am work I am great full for my job and dont act like douche.

But thanks for walking around with me and getting to know me....yet again we should instantly respect the person working on our vehicles so they will be respectful to us....what kind of stupidity is that. I can tell so many people posting are people who believe yet again baby people to get respect or be extra nice to get service. We are paying for service to be done properly we shouldn't have to do anything but say thank you and have a nice day not kiss there ass. Wake up a little and realize as a society we can't give everyone am excuse for everything and baby the hell out of them. If I would act like that I would without a doubt say management would have a few words for me the next morning. Where I work we preach safety and professionalism I think a few other jobs should start. You want a job and want to keep a job than act like it if not move on

Here is a good example of why so many don't get respect when going in....take my wife's car to get tires put on and balanced NO alignment. Later in the day see two technicians driving the vehicle and than when we arrive at the dealership and the vehicle pulling in and them with McDonald's I guess u would think I shouldn't have went to management on them too huh? I should have said awww boys gas prices are high I understand. Grow up and realize people have more than enough reasons out there to not trust dealerships. Spend some time in the service part of this forum and see how a lot of people are getting treated. I guess they too should say ahhhh sorry u have to work here and don't like your job.....grow up man I am sure u wouldn't act this way at your job.
