Speedo
I would like to know if the Engineering Mode goes away when you switch modes and you need to restart the car to get it back.
When I'm in a comfortable driving position, there is a parallax problems with the speedometer needle. At least I'm not speeding, but am going a couple miles slower than I thought. Because the Speedo and Tach aren't canted or adjustable to be canted in my line-of-sight, there are errors. Digital speed is accurate right now. I don't have to hunt the Speedo and try and make out what the needle says. I have to use reading glasses and it's still a problem.Sorry for jumping on late and I'm sure there are similar comments and questions.
Honestly I don't see the point of a digital speed display right beside an analog one.
I also see zero safety benefit.
I'm sure many, if not most people on here drive with the flow of traffic and shift based on feel. I only look at my speedo on open roads with no traffic to make sure I haven't accidently exceeded the posted speed by too much.
use speedo - only in open roads or areas known for speed traps
use tach - only when pushing the car, otherwise I go off feel.
I haven't used a digital speedo in years but on my old GrandPrix GTP (HUD) and 300ZX the digital display was always slower than the actual acceleration.
On the 300ZX it would cause a bump off of redline around 400-600rpm early.
Do you need a digital watch also to check the time?
