Agreed. It's also always nice to throw your local shop a bone, and buy the kit directly from them. Yes you will pay full MSRP typically... but o'well.

If that help you sleep at night but you didn't get a deal. The price I quoted is from a large vendor and you still could have had it installed at Brenspeed. Hell, I talked to a vendor when I was shopping for a SC last year and I could have got your same SC for $6251.40 shipped and had it installed at the dealer. But you paid the same thing that I paid for my whipple "without the whipple upgrades". Most shops are around $1000 for an install.
I don't make big purchases like this without shipping it around and buying out of state. Paying state taxes on something like this is not necessary at all.

I was willing to over-pay for my Whipple in order to buy from my speed shop directly... but with Lethal's 15% off deal, it was just too much difference. I woulda gladly over paid $500 or so to buy from him... but we were talking about a difference of almost $2,000. That was just too much to eat.

I purchased the kit last summer and at the time their price was right in line with just about everyone else's. Im just opposite of you, I try and keep my major purchases local if possible, again service after the sale is very important to me. To be totally honest, if 6% is what determines if I make a purchase,,,,,, I can't afford it.

Don't get me wrong, if I was to look at SC'ers now and lethal performance threw that 15% off of Whipple ,,,, who knows what would be under my hood. This thread started with a guy wanting to know if he could get out the door under $10,000. I was just showing he could. I love my Roush and would recommend it to anyone looking to go FI. But there are some things I really like on the Whipple also. #1 thing is that SC'er whine!!!!

Yea man. I was 100% Roush when I first bought my Mustang. Unlike many Whipple guys, I wont bash the Roush at all. I love the system. That 15% off Whipple hit at the exact right moment.. and boom goes the dynamite...
