I wanted to buy these do to the branding. Unfortunately There were too many bad stories about their quality compared to other brands. I placed an order last night for a painted set from Redline.

Edit: the design was supposedly revised but I've yet to hear much about them.

The hood bends far to much around the mounting point with those. Better to find one that mounts with two bolts.

I guess we should be flattered that everyone is copying our design. :cool:However, let me tell you why our Hood QuickLIFT system is the BEST:
1) Fit and finish: Our lower brackets fit perfectly and out unique insert system insures that they don't move around once installed. We designed an all new hood bracket specifically for the unique GT350 hood and hinge assembly.
2) Instructions: Full color instructions and video on how to install our system
3) Installation components: We include a 3/4" step bit with every system to make a perfect hole in the battery cover. We also include a plastic drill guide that perfectly locates where that hole needs to go. The "other" kits give you no drill bit and a paper guide you have to cut out yourself.
4) Quality: We have the BEST warranty in the business:
4 Years on our QuickLIFT PLUS
5 Years on our QuickLIFT ELITE

Our warranty covers ALL components including the gas springs! Other companies offer "lifetime" warranties, but read the fine print as it doesn't cover the gas springs. Of course this is the only component of the system that can actually wear out! We stand behind our product!

Don't take my word for it, do your research and read about our products and our company. We have been in business for over 14 years and our reputation speaks for itself.

Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.

This is kind of a weird question but I will ask it anyway. Could I buy your redline and use the mounts, then switch out the the strut with the ford performance logo strut. Just wondering if they have the same ball joint connection size. From the pictures they look like they do.

I have the redline hood struts on mine and LOVE it!!!! I bought the painted ones in DIB. Only mistake I made was that I have the Oxford White with OTT DIB stripes car. So....I did a little paint work ($8.95 for a can of Oxford White from local auto parts store) and now I have DIB struts with the Oxford White brackets. Very easy install and minus the painting...was completed start to finish in about 20 minutes. Great product and let me say....it feel really nice when you loosen that last bolt to remove the dumbest hood rod ever made for a $60k+ car :)

Honestly, I'm not sure. Since they copied everything else from our design, they probably copied our gas spring length as well.

Our logo on our gas spring is a sticker, so you can always peel it off if you want to go "stealth".
