Nice strut setup Redline.

Question about that Avalanche Grey GT350. Do you know if they disassembled the headlights to smoke out the reflector and chrome trim?

I've been looking to do something like that.

Yes, you do have to separate the lens from the housing to do it, but well worth it IMO.
Here's mine.

As a mechanic I'd rather have the prop rod.

That looks great especially with black! Do you mind sharing details of the paint and paint finish you used? Any chance you made a thread about yours or did you follow the process outlined in that other thread?

Porsche on some previous generation cars had the blacked out buckets and I thought it improved the looks. I'm surprised the aftermarket hasn't hit this one yet.

Thanks, I've had the headlights for a couple of years now. They were originally on my 2015 GT, and I had the headlights modified by a company that is no longer in business.

Why is that ?
Because the hood struts sometimes get in the way when working over the fender. It's not that big of a problem but I choose to keep the prop rod instead. Plus it's lighter lol. Nothing worse than working under the hood with a worn out hood strut that falls on your head and a customer doesn't want to spend the money on new ones lol.
That's When these come in handy.

If you ever are cooling your engine at a track event and a gust of wind picks the hood up off your prop rod, and back far enough causing the hood to contact the wiper arm and then falling back down on a 2004 cobra like I have, you might change your mind:thumbsup:

Not if you use a bungee cord from the hood striker to the hood latch.

Lol I guess I'll have to look for that the next car show I go to! That's just silly:lol:

"Voodoo, where's your GT350?"
That's mine over there, the one with the bungee cord"
