Meh, it is a ford ute. I'd rather it with the 2.3e/b. but
Face it the v8 in cars is on it's last legs, heck any ice power is.

Not all ICE is dead, at least not for BMW… they’re coming up with better ways to get improved fuel mpg and emissions with their gasoline engines…. There was just a large article about it a week or so ago.

If they (BMW) can do it, other vehicle manufacturers can too…. The problem is, the Domestics are being forced into EVs by the Govt., and being told they’ll be fined if they can’t get to ABC in X-years. They’re also being teased with incentives and tax breaks to go EV.

Don't matter when you can not drive it on the road, or no one buys them
No one in N.Y. will be buying them nor anyone that needs to drive in london and more and more city areas are doing this,Sadly.
iirc, it in 2012 was 15 quid to drive a non economy car in London each way, daily. So getting slapped with a road tax of 30 quid everyday not many will do.
This will be the norm in Cali, n.y. vegas,Boston, tampa, Auston, huston, dallas,etc etc etc.
It is coming. Like it or not. I try to stay involved and watch what my local leaders and the state(s) leaders are up to. More than once they stated, we don't need these type vehicles on the road in high populated areas, Who needs a v8 when 4 bangers are 300hp and up today. This is their thinking. Do I agree with it, no. but I'm not holding office and don't stuff pork into other bills and then go, oh, well.
It can be stopped, but no one can be bothered. as it sounds like work.
I'm sure it won't die anytime soon, but the cost of entry to play will be so high most that want it, won't be able to buy it.
