I can take some ... Dealer took 15 or so pictures but it's very hard in a picture to see it .. I'll give it a try tomorrow ..
My friend when he picked up his Ruby Red had some pretty bad scuffs on it. They brushed him off until he insisted on them cleaning it so he could inspect if the marks were serious. Most came out but one might need a quick buff or wet sand. Interested in seeing the pics of yours.

I have owned new Fords , Mopars and Chevys but the Ford dealer is the only one of the bunch that has treated me poorly when it came to service .. I really don't want to take it another Ford Dealer because the first words out of the service writers mouth is going to be " did you buy it here " and followed by " take it back to your selling dealer " .. It would just be a waste of my time ..

Looks as I will have to live with it , Dodge will only give me 26k trade for the car and they will not come off MSRP price of 42k on the R/T Scat Pack .. The lost is just much more than I can handle ..

You unfortunately are dealing with a bad dealer. I was a loyal customer for 6 years with Koons Ford and then management changes and I'm treated like a nobody. I changed dealers to Ted Britt and what started as a great experience turned into lies. I bought my 2015 from Sheehy which was outstanding and they used to be less then stellar.

Unfortunately all dealers of all brands can be hit or miss. Just like any buisness.

That's a dealer issue not Ford. If I had an issue with mine the dealer would stand by me and tell me what to say to them to make sure it was taken care of or they would do what they have to do to ensure it was done. I've had issues with cars over the years of different brands as well and NEVER had a problem as you describe. I would blame your dealership and you should've waited until they detailed the car so that any issues with paint would've been taken care of. Good luck with the Dodge and I hope your paint doesn't fade in two years as it has on three friends of mine who all had Dodge's over the years..

I should have been more clear on the rub mark , it on the INSIDE door panel ..It's not the paint ... The plastic has a rub mark just below the glass and just above the arm rest ..The car has no paint damage ..
Should be a warranty item. One of my door sill trim pieces had a discoloration area in the plastic and my dealer replaced it under warranty.

Not sure about FL, but in CA there are dealers that are discounting using Truecar or Costco. Also, a buddy of mine used to work for Chrysler and he mentioned their Family and Friends plan that seemed very similar to the Ford X or Z plan. (I thought you mentioned you used to work for Chrysler). I'm sure that won't help with your trade-in though.

I understand feeling disrespected by the dealer, but it's not like your stuck with a bad car even if you keep the GT. The Mustang and Challenger are different, but both very nice rides...

Why aren't there photos? Open the door, get some nice sunlight on there, and take a picture. Glad you decided to keep the car. This sounds like a very minor issue and won't affect the performance one bit. As for having your ego stepped on by the dealer, oh well. Live long enough and someone will treat you like that again. But what others think of you means nothing to who you truly are, unless you allow it to affect you. Turn the other cheek, brush it off, whatever - and enjoy your car!

End of story is I will be trading the car in and get a new Dodge , I will take the hit on the trade and never buy a Ford ever again .. Even if they gave me a Ford I would sell it and get a different brand ..

Back in the 90s I got a new Mustang , after washing it for the first time I found bad paint damage so I took it back to the dealer .. The dealer told me I wrecked the car and fixed it and now you want us ( ford ) to fix your screw up .. I got the ford Zone rep involved as well as ford corp ... They told me too bad and hung up on me and would not talk to me again ..

At that time I swore I would never buy another ford ever !!! And I didn't until I saw the New 2015 mustang .. I traded that car in ( lemon ) and got another brand..

I have had my new GT for 4 weeks or so .. When I picked it up they didn't clean the car , they let me take it home and said to bring it back and they would detail the car .. I noticed that there was a rub mark on the drivers door panel but I was thinking it would just clean off ..It didn't .. I took it back twice for them to take pictures to send to ford ..Ford told me they would not fix it , that I was the cause of the damage ..Starting to sound like the last time I dealt with ford motor company ..

I know it may sound like a pretty minor problem and it is , I can live with the rub mark BUT I CAN NOT live with being called a liar...

End of story is I will be trading the car in and get a new Dodge , I will take the hit on the trade and never buy a Ford ever again .. Even if they gave me a Ford I would sell it and get a different brand ..
I'm having similar issues with my wife's Fusion. The clearcoat is peeling and they're telling me I was involved in an accident. Bullshit! Good luck. Try another dealer.

I am empathetic that the car was not in perfect condition.

Sometimes, it is "for the best" if the owner of the car simply fix certain things by himself because you run the risk of making matters worse. Based on the info on this website, there can be other things like "misaligned panels", where door opens with metal to metal contact.

I would say that it is a miracle when a car is sitting on a lot, and it is somehow in perfect pristine condition. Please be sure you are not setting your standards too high for a domestic vehicle purchase.

I know when something is brand new, we all like to think it is fresh out of a box wrapped in bubble wrap. The car probably was on a train and who knows what the outside body made contact with.

I indeed had a dealer tell me that "mice" ate wires under my hood, when I knew I drove off the lot in a new car, which had the wires already chewed of the ABS system. They did tell me "sorry not our problem". I chose to not argue with them because I didn't check myself under the hood and take photos before I signed any documents. I think all dealerships (of all brands) will always try to get out of fixing anything for free. That is their programming.

Best of luck to you though !

Had a call from my Dealer today telling me they DID NOT turn down the claim and they had a letter from Ford to prove it .. So I called Ford again and they said the Dealer turned down the claim ... I read the letter they sent the Dealer ..They ( Ford ) in the letter said that I caused the Damage to the inside door panel by using a non approved Ford cleaner ... Really ? a wash cloth with plain water is a non approved Ford cleaner ? First time I ever heard that one .. The dealer said I need to call Ford again and make another claim , Ford tells me on the phone that I can not make a claim the dealer has t do it ..I feel like a ping pong ball ...

Anyway I now have proof that Ford is lying ...I'm to the point of finding this hole thing funny , funny that ford doesn't want to pay for a cheap part and 2 to 3 tenths labor to replace it in order to keep a customer happy and maybe sell me another car down the road .. So today I washed the car with a unapproved Ford water and Ford unapproved soap and Ford unapproved wax getting it ready to hit a car show tonight .. Gee I hope the paint doesn't fade on the way to the car show or I'll get blamed for that also ..

On a side note : I went to the Dealer and went to the detail Department and guess what ? they don't use Ford approved cleaner either !!!
