I knew that Ford was keeping the shape of the 15- 17 headlights it's as if they know they messed up the new ones. Anywho, it's going to be sick!!!

Yes. Closer to the GT350 than anything else, but different. You can see glimpses in the video.

Sad they weren't able to deliver on what insiders had been saying for the better part of a year (800+), including people who've driven it. That was the goal.
700+ could mean anything including over 800, we'll see. Either way it'll be a tune away from 800 +.

With your common sense, how could you be wrong?

Hood is bigger than GT350 to fit supercharger. I wonder if it'll be able to lose any weight?

5lbs for larger brakes and calipers?
Don't be surprised if it's carbon. There's also a lot more venting.

Yes 5 lbs for slightly larger calipers and rotors. They're not significantly larger than the GT350. Bigger, yes. To give some perspective, the weight delta between the GT PP rotors and the base GT rotors is 8 lbs, combined, and that's 13.9" --> 15.0". This is a much smaller change from the 15.5" GT350 rotors. Also the caliper doesn't have to grow much when it's radial mount.

Sounds more like maybe what you want it to be, to me. It’s not like anyone here has ever heard a CPC 5.2 before.
Um.... A CPC 5.2 has existed as a crate engine for awhile now... So yes people have heard what a 5.2 CPC sounds like... It sounds like a coyote.

Again that said, this is just my thought after hearing the video. I might be right or I might be wrong. I do not think it will be very long before we find out though.

Thanks for the catch. So bigger brakes = bigger wheels and tires. All add A LOT more weight.

But then again you're probably right. It'll be sub 4k and cost sub $60k

LOL, AFTER ADMs it'll be in the $110 - $120K range (at least for 1st year)!!

So 1.1" = 8lbs (each?). So how big are the 500s brakes? 0.5" larger? So 4lbs each? So 8lbs total? How much is the larger caliper and pad? 1lb each? So 10lbs for brakes, now how much do larger wheels and tires weigh?

4 lb each for 1.1". Caliper is likely the same other than the cut line for the rotor being a different radius. Pad a little larger, but now you're into a smaller measuring scale.

They're 20" wheels, believe they are forged. Should be a couple lbs lighter than the 31/32 lb GT350 wheels.

No. Just no. Having owned both a 350 and 350R I disagree completely. R has more volume with pops and burbles, but the tones are damn near identical
Exactly. My GT350 with resonators just added more crackle and snarl when I removed the resonators. No change in pitch

most power street legal ford with over 700 hp but what they don’t tell you is, the heaviest mustang of all time. I’m hearing in the 4100 lb range still. That’s nearly the weight of the demon with 100 less hp. Don’t get caught in a roll race with it.
Glad they kept the 17s headlights but the front quarter intakes are not appealing. Maybe I’ll get over that and the hp thing...
Sounds like it will be a 19my, so that’s promising, unless it’s 100 cars total.
I remember when the hellcat was teased at over 600hp and it came with over 700, haha. That was good.

Definitely would expect a CF hood. Also the ZL1 which gained about 175 pounds over the SS 1le, that includes a ton of heat exchangers (for that trans and small blower!) wider wheels and tires and the eLSD, so 90lbs is probably pretty close for the blower.

Thinking this is a hoax as my 2017 GT350 came with the updated "Ford Performance" sill plates as Ford is consolidating their global performance divisions into "Ford Performance"...unlikely the 2019 GT 500 would have an older version sill?
That came from Youtuber Speed Phenom. Best GT350 / GT500 channel I've come across.
