DCT is a rumor. So the auto is 60lbs heavier than a manual. If it does have larger than GT350 brakes, that's also more weight, unsprung at that -BAD. Bigger brakes = bigger (heavier wheels) and bigger, heavier tires.

Superchargers are HEAVY, so is the water in it, the front heat exchanger, and whatever additional cooling is needed for 200 more HP.

So 3,781lbs for a GT350 + 60lb trans = 3,841lbs. Add brakes, wheels, tires, supercharger, bigger radiator, intercooler, etc... No way it's sub 4k.

That's assuming they don't make any effort to cut weight. Such as CF hood, fenders, roof, subframes have been mentioned as well. Like you though, I'd be damn impressed if its under 4K. My gut says 4050-4100.

Lets see ZL1 1LE has....

Supercharger check.
Coolers check.
Bigger wider tires than a GT350 check.

All moot points LOL

Look around the GT500 brakes are bigger and different this isnt a guess its fact.

saw this on FB so i dont know if its real or someone screwing around..
Thinking this is a hoax as my 2017 GT350 came with the updated "Ford Performance" sill plates as Ford is consolidating their global performance divisions into "Ford Performance"...unlikely the 2019 GT 500 would have an older version sill?

Thanks for the catch. So bigger brakes = bigger wheels and tires. All add A LOT more weight.

But then again you're probably right. It'll be sub 4k and cost sub $60k

Klier, not sure what an MCE headlight is but I have heard Ford is pushing the next gen Mustang platform out a few years...which makes sense given all they have going on with the current platform (and how good it is already). Could be bad intel...but I can see the reasoning for sure...

3841 + 90 (everything for the supercharger) - 10 (lighter wheels than GT350) - 10-15 (composite suspension components) - 10-15 (hood) + 5 (delta of brakes, max) = 3906 on the conservative side of those ranges. There's definitely more, too.

Larger radiator possible, but much more likely that the grille opening is increased significantly. Even if it is larger, the amount would be minimal, a few pounds of aluminum.

With your math sure........
With your common sense, how could you be wrong?

90lbs for a supercharger, fluids, cooler, etc??? You must have never felt a supercharger.

Hood is bigger than GT350 to fit supercharger. I wonder if it'll be able to lose any weight?

5lbs for larger brakes and calipers?
