All sounds good , but I wonder how Ford will divide up the stock investors currently have on hand.

Ford have lead us to believe that the Mach E sales allow them to keep selling ICE Mustangs due to CAFE regulations.
That's what Jim Owens said at the Mach 1 Track Tour.

One person mentioned an impact on dealers. I just watched some other analysis on this topic and strongly suspect this is the sole reason for doing this. This will allow the Ford Model E company to avoid all dealership franchise laws and sell direct, directly increasing their profit margins since it will be a legal entity to avoid existing sales structures. ICE will be phased out in 25ish years so this would be laying the foundation for a permanent change in how vehicle sales are made. Direct, just like Tesla.

You don't need glasses to read between these lines. Cheap crap coming our way.

Ford Blue will build out company’s iconic portfolio of ICE vehicles to drive growth and profitability – relentlessly attacking costs.

Plus when the time is ripe Wall St. can make zillions in fees when it's time to spin off the EV division and list it on the stock market. Ford is getting out of car engineering and into financial engineering - the best kind since it requires all talk and a couple key strokes and millions of people will willingly part with their money to buy whatever they are selling.

There is basically nothing useful in the skateboard designs to the ICE team and vise-versa. Even chassis dynamics is off by 2000 lbs as is CG. There will no doubt be a liberal patent/tech license agreement between the two halves.

The joke will be on EV I think. we're out of rich people who will buy Mach-E. If the Maverick indicates anything it's that people are too damn poor and the market is at 25-35,000 point which means Ford needs to revisit their cost-structure. In other words, get the hell out of Union states.
