Overall, very easy and nice install. It flows excellent with the lines of the hood. I decided to omit the stupid fake carbon fiber sticker thry included for the back of it. We'll be buffing it monday.

Wow! It turned out really nice! 'Changes the whole personality of the car, doesn't it?!

Thanks for posting the pics!

(And good call on the cheesy decal - I completely agree)

I'm astonished! Out of all the people that expressed a keen interest in purchasing scoops of one kind or another...only one fellow has posted install pics?!

Edit. Some angles I like, some I don't.

I'm going back and forth on it now. I'm not completely digging how thick it is. I'm going back between this and the MMD V-Series scoop. 1st world problems! I need to see more pics at a greater distance.

Looks good! I still prefer my MMD V-series scoop though.

Do you mean the overall (final) height? i.e.: the highest point atop the arc of the scoop relative to the highest point of the hood? I'm guessing that would be...oh...2.5"? Maybe a smidge more(?)

Or do you mean the actual thickness of the material?

Thickness of the material I guess. I am not sure about how thick the lip is. I'd like to have seen it thinner, more like the other scoops on the market.

Its not bad looking. But i think that style is suited more for the s197 hood. I understand its molded to fit the lines of the S550, but..... Front lip of hood and front lip of scoop are very similar...:)

I'm not liking this angle. IMO

I agree....

I think it comes with some kinda black tape or something or other, to apply to that area. But he decided against it, I think.

Yes - since you posted that pic, I can def. see what you mean.

I am an anti-fan of carbon fiber (I'm referring to the visual effect - not purely the material) I think it's used 'waaay too often, and has therefore lost its unique-ness. My aversion to CF is the reason I initially agreed with Jayme when he chose to leave that [artificial] CF decal off the aft end of his scoop. That said...

I do feel that -- on a color-matched scoop -- it would probably look better with the aft end blacked out. But I will also admit that I am easily swayed by the pics. It's easy to sit here in my computer room and imagine what something will look like, but then when I see a nice clear picture...yeah...I sometimes change my mind.
