If it's VHB, it will hold indefinitely. I have things with a lot more force that this scoop would see at 200mph held on by properly prepped VHB.

You can count me out for now, I was only interested in the side scoops anyways and I am leaning more towards the roush style that goes all the way between the body creases.

I appreciate the efforts of the OP trying to put together a GB. However, please remove me from the GB list - as this thread merely started as a nod to the Ford AirDesign and I too had only commented how I liked the AirDesign hood scoop (and inquired about the 1/4 window covers). I had no intention of being part of a GB (at this time). So sorry that it was assumed that I (like others) was "in" on this potential GB.

Good luck to the OP and all others - the hood scoop is definitely a nice piece!

Guys - please check your parts and color options! I've still not heard back from a few of you, and have therefore marked you as "verified" for satin black pieces based solely upon only your initial expression of interest. If you want different/more parts -- and/or color-matching paint -- LMK!

Oh - just to clarify two points:
The parts are painted satin black by default...as opposed to being black because that happens to be the color of the raw material. In other words - if you want your part(s) to be satin black...they will have been painted. That means you can change the color of the part(s) yourself with less hassle...in the event that the color-matching process ends up adding excessively to the cost.

Also I have asked for a description of the 'finish' of the parts. I wanted to know if they are rough-ish...dead smooth...shiny...dull...glossy...chalkboard... And the word that was passed along to me was "eggshell". So...not shiny - not dull - but in between. Hopefully that gives you an idea of what to expect.

We have a tentative vendor. I am awaiting pricing, but having difficulty extending a firm offer to the vendor because a few gentlemen have still not confirmed exactly what they want. I acknowledge that one person this way or that will probably not dramatically affect the final cost, but ya never know. Perhaps my supplier has it in his mind that a dozen is the pivotal number...at which point he would add another 5% discount to the deal! I'm not saying that is the case, but the sooner I can get my side of the deal squared away the sooner I can pin him down.

And if there is anyone reading this who is not keen on a Hood Scoop...but is interested in Quarter Window Scoops and/or Side Scoops...please step forward! It can certainly extend to you as well!

Also please double-check that -- if you are waiting on pricing to decide on colour-matched vs. default satin black -- your colour preference is listed beside your name. I say this *just in case* there is a delay on pricing and/or availability of color-matched pieces. Because...

It sounds like satin black parts can be shipped out within 24 hours of payment. That does NOT mean that colour-matching *will* be delayed; I do not know this yet. But for those members who know that they want satin black parts...we can probably get them shipped out pretty fast.

Don't hold me to this too rigidly; I am at the mercy of other people who have different priorities. But I am trying to 'stack the deck' to allow for various developments. Who knows? the entire thing might very well become clear nine hours from now...but I want to be transparent so you know what's going on!

Fri. Dec. 09/16:

I have negotiated a savings that makes it reasonably appealing to buy through the GB. No - you won't be able to finally have that tummy tuck you've been putting off, but there is not a lot of room to move on these prices.

Satin Black parts (HS, QWS & SS) can be shipped out within 24 hours of payment.

Color-matched QWS and SS can be shipped out within 24 hours of payment, and those two parts (sold in pairs, obviously) cost the same as each other. Color-matching on these two parts adds $51 to the price for the pair.

There is no part number available yet for color-matched HS. They definitely exist, but until a p/n is entered into the system they cannot be ordered. That can - and likely will - change "shortly"...but sadly there are no guarantees for how quickly that will come together.

I'm asking you not to post publicly about the pricing - we'll keep the nitty-gritty confined to PM's. But I will tell you that you will either be ordering through a website or with a person on the 'phone. Ordering through the website will require the creation of an account. Either way it can be PP, Visa or MC, and your order will be shipped straight to you.

Shipping remains a little sticky. The website offers extremely low shipping rates...but the parts cost a little more. The other source cannot estimate shipping because he has no orders yet (and therefore no parts to measure and weigh) but he expects that he will be able to come pretty close to the website price for shipping. And of course the parts you want will be shipped in one box.

So. A couple of absolutes:

1) All three parts in satin black are available now.
2) Color-matched QWS and SS are available now.
3) Delivered price is likely within a few bucks from either of two different sources.
4) Color-matched HS are not available yet. If I had to guess I would say the painted HS will cost an additional $70, but this is only a guess.

Annoyingly, my price is more if I order from these sources because I am in a different country. This is frustrating because I would be the first to place an order so that the shipping price could be calculated. But it's not happening. And that's nobody's fault...but the difference is shocking. It's a currency exchange issue. It kills me every time.
