One of the bolts that keeps my chin splitter attached came loose today. As I was looking it, I realized my hand was covered in a small to medium amount of oil-like fluid. I've lowered my car by about an inch and I've scraped the underside a couple of times but nothing serious.

Is this normal wear or something I should investigate further?

No it's not normal these cars do not leak fluids. You said you have bottomed out you may have tweaked the lower portion of the radiator. Smell the fluid does it smell like antifreeze? you can also taste it (Don't swallow it) you will know in a heartbeat if its antifreeze. If in fact it is antifreeze or worse yet oil. Get your car to a garage or the dealer to be checked out. Common sense my friend.
