I haven't found anything from search (maybe I'm bad at that). I'm having a rare issue with my clutch peddle where I'll go to push the clutch in, and it's hanging half way through the travel. I can grab it and it's completely loose for the first half like it's not connected to anything, but the rest of the travel is fairly normal. It feels like the TO bearing or clutch master cylinder is hanging up half way because it'll shift just fine. After pressing and releasing the clutch a few time, it'll start working like normal again.

I thought it might be getting air in the line, I have a Steeda braided line, and just needs bled because it usually happens when I first get into the car, but this weekend it did it when I was in stop and go traffic. While in traffic, it instantly started having issues, and then instantly went back to normal, so that, coupled with the fact that it shifts fine, tells me it isn't from air in the line. It's only done this like 5 times in the last 6 months, and I've had the Steeda line for years, so I think that also helps rule out air in the line.

Has anyone run into this before?

Happens to my Tacoma but only when it's really really cold out.

Likely not the issue... but a quick box to check:
Take a quick peek under the dash to confirm that the clutch spring assist assembly is all good. The OEM perch isn't greatest. Especially if it's been ripped out to modify the spring.

What year is it? Sounds like it could possibly be the clutch master cylinder.

Go back and re-check everything and make sure it’s tight. Then, I’d probably try a different fluid to make sure but that’s just me.

It's a 2018, I forgot that I do have the Steeda assist spring too, though the factory perch. I plan to check everything out this weekend, though I was hoping to go another 5k miles before doing the brake fluid to get to an even 50k.

Are you still on the stock clutch?

I have this same thing happen on my GT with the McLeod braided clutch cable and the Steeda Clutch to Master Cylinder line. It's very rare that it happens, but a couple pumps and it's completely normal.

What's odd is that my car has been sitting for longer periods of time, due to it now being a weekend toy rather than a daily, and I haven't noticed it in quite some time.
