My flex joint is rattling and I checked underneath the car and with others who had the issue to confirm it. Contacted a dealer and said it's not covered under warranty even though it's one piece welded into the catalytic converter. They said they would only replace the catalytic converter if it was broken. Anyone able to get it fixed under warranty? Any recommendation would be great. Thank you. I have 22000 miles on a 2015 car with the extended warranty.

I’m pretty sure that would fall under the emissions warranty provisions. I’m not sure what it is for a 2015 model year, but for 2018’s, it’s 8 yrs/80,000 miles.

Check online or your original owners manual it outlines everything.

Yeah thats what I thought. I checked and the catalytic converter is covered under that warranty, but the dealer said unless that catalytic converter is throwing a check engine light or it's broken itself, they will not replace it. I just want to replace the stupid flex joint thats welded into the catalytic converter pipe and rattling all the time. That's why I am looking for some guidance, because if I take it to the dealer they are going to charge me for a stupid diagnosis that I don't need and then tell me that they will not cover it under warranty.

Your dealer is wrong , if they run the part number for coverage they will see that it covered under 8 80k . They just are looking to get out of making a warenty claim . Ask them to run a parts coverage on oasis . That will give you the answer you need .

Find another dealer. They don’t want to touch your car under warranty. Now your going to prove them wrong, hopefully. Do you really want to leave it with them after that? I wouldn’t.
