Oh yeah. As soon as Ford announced it was doing those shenanigans. Here's another "secret" that most may not know: inline 4's are also typically flat plane crank configurations. :bow:

I have an 09 Yamaha R1, and the crossplane crank totally transforms that engine. Sounds a lot like the Honda VFR V4’s, which sound like V8’s. Very weird. Honda changed the cranks after the first generation of V4’s and the sound of the engine was vastly improved.
