  1. Camera recall

I received the recall letter and realized after 48K miles I’ve never had an issue. I’m going to let it slide.
  2. Let’s See Those Trucks!

After 24 years I retired my green machine for a new F150. V8 with a 6.5 bed. Very happy.
  3. Fob Case

FWIW a new fob for our 2015 Escape was similarly priced. IIRC you could program it yourself if and only if you had two good working fobs (which I suspect is irrelevant it most situations).
  4. Fob Case

Thanks for all the input. One of those soft covers from Amazon worked just fine
  5. Fob Case

Thanks, but the fob internals are fine. I hate to spend that kind of $$$ for just a cracked case.
  6. Fob Case

So I dropped one of my fobs just right and now the case can be closed but after sitting in my pocket for a while will inevitably work its way loose again. I’m using the other fob but I’d sure like to replace just the case on this one. Has anyone done this? Internet searches have not surfaced...
  7. Still the One

I had bought a certificate for detailing at my fire department’s fundraiser auction a while back and finally took the GT in the other day. The place does high end vehicle sales and detailing. When I went in to pick the car up it was parked among three Bentleys and some supercars . When the...

  9. Tire Inflator - Need Service Manual Help

The sealant pack on my tire inflator expires in a couple of months. I have a replacement but I need the procedure for taking apart the inflator case. No screws or obvious way to split the case. If anyone had a service manual and can help I’d appreciate it.
  10. Let’s See Those Trucks!

I spend a fair amount of time in this truck. It’s a 2019 F350. The bed has an equipment rack that slides out completely and carries a complete set of extrication tools (battery powered), medical gear, tool set, pole saw, Stokes litter, spare air bottles, and even an air chisel that works off...
  11. Let’s See Those Trucks!

My 99 F250 has pulled stumps, towed multiple vehicles out of high water and mud, hauled cord wood, dirt, furniture and untold other stuff and towed sport bikes from New Mexico to Maine. It’s also killed 6 adult deer (5 white tails and an axis doe, one skunk, and some jackrabbits.
  12. TX owners.....

10 days before the cold weather started we were already warning people in our service area to drip faucets, insulate plumbing, and have a week’s worth of food on hand at a minimum. Yet two days into the weather event we were hauling water and food to people. Since we are rural people are...
  13. TX owners.....

We have been OK at home but fire and EMS and of course the PoPo have been going crazy. When we tell people to stay in the house and not drive of course no one thinks we actually mean them.
  14. Looking for rec on compressor and tools

i was on a thread there recently about 1/4 inch spinner drives. When I went to look i my tool chest I had one that I bought on a recommendation from another thread that I had totally forgotten about. There are long term threads there like “show us your vise” that have been going on for years...
  15. Looking for rec on compressor and tools

I have a big belt drive compressor in my shop like this one: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/porter-cable-20-gallon-portable-belt-drive-air-compressor?cm_vc=-10005. They are quite a bit quieter than most oil less compressors. I recently replaced the compressor in my garage with a...

Our first home was built in the late 80’s and our current home in the early 50’s. It’s incredible how much bigger those old two car garages are compared to new tract home garages.
