I believe I have the answer for the main reason why they are forcing black wheels on us. In the past customers have complained about brake dust, particularly from the bigger brakes. Having black wheels seems to "camouflage" the dust and makes them less prone to making the wheel look dirty.

This is the only logical reason I could think of. Other than that I really agree with you, the gun metal version is sooo much better.

I would agree with your assessment if Ford was bringing out a matte finish or flat black wheel. but after having the 2012 Boss302 with gloss black wheels I can tell you it DOES NOT hide any dirt or brake dust.

I also had a 12 Boss, I would (in between car washings) rinse off the wheels and blow dry em with my leaf blower...I hated the gloss and agree they should be Matte/Semi-Gloss .

Haha - goin' for 7 by the end of the week. At the Ford-organized show for tomorrow's Woodward Dream Cruise, I am expecting the 2015s to be on display. Also, on Sunday, during the area Mustang club's show being held on Ford grounds, I also thing they will be there.

I can easily say that I have not been as crazy in car love for a Mustang since my 2003 Mach 1. I wish ALL of you could be here in the Detroit area this week to really experience it.

SOooooo, about that Pony in the windshield on any of the models? I expect it to be a Ford logo in the EB and v6, but what about the GT and LE??????

So those optional 18's on the black GT come with Pirelli's all seasons.

And in this shot of the CO GT with the stock 18's rims, they have Pirelli's also.

But in the car that was at my dealer (EB Premium 201A), it had Good Year tires on the 18" wheels. Same with the Ruby Red one in another thread.

I know that the 19's (PP) and 20's come with Pirelli summer tires.

It's looking like the base 100A/200A/201A Eco Boosts come with Good Year tires and the GTs 300/400A/401A come with Pirelli going from these pics.

And I assume any optional EB wheel will have Good Years (minus PP) and any optional GT wheel will have Pirelli's. If true that adds some value to the GT price tag over the EB in the difference between the tires.

I emailed Deysha one of Fords CS reps and she confirmed they won't have the pony it will be FORD instead . I'll miss seeing it too as my Mustangs have had the pony but it's still gonna be a great car and Ford is my favorite brand of car and the Mustang has always and will always be my favorite . :ford:
