Hi everyone. I have some questions about tunes and ft..
1) how N2O tunes work? I mean, If I would like to put nos in future and I buy a tune with the option of nos installation that at the moment I haven't, there would be any problems or simply it works as the N2O cylinder were always closed?
2) how many tunes can I downloaded into my x4 tuners?
3) by the setting of the tuners can I decide the idle speed neutral? or it just appears when you buy a ghost cam tune?
4) why a ghost cam hurts the cats?

Top of the morning.

1 Nitrous works as simply by forcing nitrous and fuel into the engine which creates more HP. For tuning, you will need the system along with other features to run it correctly. Depending on the type and shot size, this will help me give you better info on what I recommend.

2. The x4 can hold a bunch of tunes but most just do 2-3 of them. All that is needed before you get into additional cost.

3. Idle Speed neutral? Can you explain what you are trying to do with the ghost cam tune some of the tuners provide? I will say that it' considered a novelty tune so as it is, that is it.

4. Yes, the ghost cam tunes alter a lot and can cook the factory cats a lot quicker. You can actually smell them after a few mins running this tune,

I hope I helped with some of your questions and if there is anything else, please shoot me a PM. I have also listed the options we offer here at Lethal Performance below.

Cheers, sir!

1. The first order of business is to tune for whatever fuel you’ll be running. Once that’s done, you will want to decide on what size nitrous shot you want to run and then have your tuner write a tune for nitrous. This will require some data logging and sending those logs to your tuner for review and possible adjustments to the nitrous tune, after which he/she will email the revised nitrous tune to you and you will be set to use nitrous. This may require some back and forth between you and your tuner with data logging and receiving revised tunes, but that’s okay, because you want to get it right.

You can drive around on your nitrous tune and still be fine, as most of the fuel adjustments are done around the 80-100% throttle region. Simply put, normal driving will seem normal, but if you were to go wot, you would notice that the car was down on power because of the fuel and timing adjustments that your tuner made to compensate for nitrous. The only reason I can think of to even run around town on a nitrous tune is, if you wanted to be stealthy and ready for a street race if the opportunity presented itself. Of course you would also need a remote bottle opener for this, otherwise you’d have to pull over, pop the trunk and manually open the bottle valve to make the system fully ready for use.

2. I haven’t used an SCT tuner since 2013, but back then I believe it could hold 10 tunes, so I’d imagine yours would at least hold that many.

3. You should be able to raise and lower idle speed up to a point with your SCT tuner.

4. Excess unburnt fuel will be flowing into your exhaust stream and passing through the cats with a ghost cam tune and therefore, it could lead to burned out cats. It’s best to run catless with a ghost cam tune. That’s what I did on my 2013 GT.
