I think is why you're not getting the bounce. The LCA bearing gives a hard edge to the rear suspension. With my setup and everything I had installed on it prior to doing the LCA bearing - no bounce. After the LCA bearing and diff inserts were installed together that induced the bounce/oscillation.
Yes but....see Rebellion who felt this but fixed it with the billet mounts. Same springs and similar dampers between us. He has the LCA bearings. Wildcat found the same thing. Bounce with LCA bearings, no bounce post mounts.

I'm hoping I get similar results. Mootang's issues are definitely giving me some doubt but we'll just have to see. But I agree Wildcat and Rebellion speak very highly of the shock mounts and say it solves it. I've very hopeful that my case will be the same. My dampers are the same as Rebellions and our spring rates are similar.

Just got my mounts. I'll report back. I could've written your post. I experienced the same thing with the RS mods, and no other alteration to the vehicle

Got my mounts installed today. Install could not have been easier. Took maybe 30-45 minutes total, didn't even have to take the shocks off the car. The top nuts came off no problem.

Bounce/oscillations are about 90% gone! The ride feels much more controlled and refined. These things are absolutely worth the money, especially since you can swap out the inserts if you get new shocks.

Sweet! What is your suspension package?

Thank you for another review of their mounts. I'm ordering mine this weekend!

Good thread, thanks to all for posting their experiences. I have this issue as well, but have a different setup than others.

I'm running BMR cradle lock out, Steeda diff inserts, stock PP springs with Koni yellows, and (most of the time) 275/35-20 Nitto NT-01 tires. No LCA bearing yet or any other suspension or bushing mods besides those mentioned.

In my setup, I get the same results described by everyone here. I'm not sure how the LCA bearing would affect it, but if it made it worse I would be ready to drive it into the river. :) I think the combination of diff inserts, too-stiff compression damping on the Konis, and stiff/short sidewall on the tires all conspire against me.

I actually found that it was improved ever so slightly by going up in tire pressure. Seemed to take away a secondary motion that exacerbated the problem. I'm sure that may not be a universal solution. On my 19" snows, problem is much less noticeable.

So, I can see how better compression damping would mask or improve the problem. With softer sidewalls I effectively get that result and it makes it tolerable. But not gone. Just not transmitted to the cabin as much.

I'm getting the feeling that I'm going to need to do a different suspension setup and the upper mounts to get this closer to right. I'm also planning to switch to 19" wheels/tires soon anyway, but feels like there's still some underlying fundamental issue.

Is there anyone out there running a setup like mine who has done the upper mounts already? Sorry if I missed it earlier in the thread, hadn't seen someone with my exact setup when I read through it just now. Curious if the Konis are improved even moderately with the mounts or if I'm destined to change them. I feel like the Konis were designed for a much more compliant stock suspension and tire setup, sadly, and they are a big portion of my issue right now. Of course, I may also just be rationalizing a V3 purchase. :)

So I'm thinking about these shock mounts to fix the jiggle oscillations ... can they be installed easily without removing the shocks?

And if so, do you go through the trunk or up from under the wheel well?
BmacIL ... think it'll help my setup?

I think everyone who said the mounts fixed their problem are running springs, shocks, cb005, and rlca. Seems like the mounts are more of a cherry on top kind of thing. Adding more refinement to an already sorted rear suspension. Not to say they won't help, but it might not be the same as if you had all the supporting mods.

The install is a piece of cake. Wheels off, remove oem mount, put on new mount, wheels on and done. Go in through the wheel well, don't have to remove the strut.

So did it help much for you? Not worth the cost?

So I just put these on today. BMR CB005, steeda ultralites, and steeda fixed shocks. I had an annoying jiggle and punch on the freeway and bumps were pretty harsh. I put these on and took a spin and immediately felt the lack of jiggle or bounce and I swear better ride. Maybe that part is in my head, but it certainly feels better. I'd say well worth the cost. It takes longer to jack the car up than it does to put the mounts on.
