We might be talking about two things here:

1. Oscillations
2. Bounce

I think the oscillations is more due to binding and the shock mounts being rubbery. The bounce I think is more spring rate and shock damping issues.

What I am calling bounce is more oscillations than anything else, although some of what I have is bounce.

I consider mine to be oscillations. I heard it described earlier in the thread as 'low displacement, high frequency oscillations', which perfectly describes what I'm feeling. Kind of like a small shimmy after hitting an imperfection in the road, or coming off of a big bump. Makes sense since we both have the frpp track pack.

This is a good description - it's certainly an oscillation. Interesting that you feel it on big bumps vs small?

After talking to Mike D., I think mines are more oscillations than bounce now. I am hoping that the root cause is a bind somewhere in my installs. My "bounciness" is mostly on small imperfections of the road as I cruise around 30 to 65 mph.

When the car hits a big bump, it goes up once, down once, and then there are 2-3 small aftershocks. Really small up and downs.

Yes I think that is oscillations which is what I have. This is what I hope the Steeda shock mounts will fix. If not, it comes down the springs and dampers. Most likely the dampers to stiff on the compression .

That's what I'm hoping. Mine should be here on Friday. 50/50 I'll be able to get to them this weekend

Just purchased the Steeda shock mounts. I'm also looking at some Maximum Motorsports CC plates at AM.

Jmart I'd recommend adjusting the shocks and struts both stiff. I think you'll find the oscillations gone but obviously an uncomfortable ride. Then start in the front, adjust them softer until the bounciness is noticeable, then firm them up a little until no more oscillations. Then repeat for the rear.

I like the way you described it. I think most talk about going over a bump but to me it's more the unseen waviness in the road. I notice it going 40 on back roads or on the highway going 75. The road will look fine and I'm bouncing like I'm riding on springs (no dampening).

Mike D (SteedaTech) @ Steeda is still working with me too, busy man! Although I feel I'm VERY close to the final solution. As others have said, the Steeda billet shock mounts took a good bit of that bounce away, allowing the shocks to articulate without binding but not getting rid of all of it. I can adjust out the bounciness with the Koni dampers but I think the compression isn't correct for the S550. I'll report back too when I get mine finalized.
Well I'll say that the Steeda non adjustable dampers with the springs I have has no bounce. They are tuned to be just about where 1.5 turns from soft puts the adjustable dampers. I don't have the LCA bearings though, still bushings.

I think is why you're not getting the bounce. The LCA bearing gives a hard edge to the rear suspension. With my setup and everything I had installed on it prior to doing the LCA bearing - no bounce. After the LCA bearing and diff inserts were installed together that induced the bounce/oscillation.

Its not needed, but they replace the whole upper perch and no OEM parts reused. Nice quality stuff and great bearings. The plates also have indicators for adjustments at the top strut hole. I have no NVH on mines when I installed them.
