My car has been cooped up all winter waiting for the first signs of spring after my home instal, well today was the day. Got 93 octane in and went for a long drive, feels so smooth like butter really, stock drivability in every way. Well went to test wide open in 4 th and holy fuck it stuck wide open and only noticed when I de clutched and the RPMS started bouncing off the rev limiter, I put it back in gear let the clutch out and kept stomping the throttle with no results had to declutch again as road was running out more rev limiter bouncing until I hit and held the start button, finally it shut down. I was so fucken pissed all this on the first time I go WOT. I restarted and was able to drive home 2 miles with no issue. When I got home looked at the winter rubber floor mat and it was hanging on the pedal...GOD DANG IT!!.REALLY!!! Chucked the mat across the yard and went for another ride and everything looked good, temps, oil pressure and no unusual engine sounds and went for another WOT test, and all went well, pulled like a mother. WTF kind of shit luck:doh:
Moral of the story is a freakin floor mat could kill you or blow your motor. Never again will I put a rubber mat under my foot:eyebulge:
