I am thinking of doing some drag racing this year with my Mustang. My GT is set up for the road course with a lot of negative camber (-3.6 F/-2.5 R) and a lot of suspension modifications.

Anywho, I am currently running RE71Rs and I am wondering what tire people would recommend to run instead? I don't want to use the RE71Rs on the drag strip as its my road course set up. I have one set of wheels that ar1 19x11 and another that is 19x9 up front and 19x11 rear. Would I be fine with just switching out the rear rims and keeping the fronts 19x11 with re71rs?

Are you drag racing for fun? or do you want to win your bracket?

Road course and drag setups are 100% opposite.

For fun. I may pick up a different car to do drag racing if I enjoy it

Just show up on a test and tune night and get in a few runs. If you like it then come back and ask more questions.

Your set up won't make for the best times but it will let you have fun.

Use your street tires and wheels.

Don't do a hero burnout, street tires like to be cool.

If you want to stay with 19s ,then M/T et SS streets tires 285/30x19 . I not sure about the 30 profile ?? . Your chamber will be a problem For off the line traction .

For the record - my friend in a stock Golf R and RE-71R ran 12s on the strip. Take your REs over, they'll be fine and few passes you'll do, you won't wear them out. They'll be better than tires most people ran on - if it's T&T night.
