First time at the drag strip

So I decided to take the stang out to the drag strip today. This was my first time ever running a car at the strip. I couldn't quite get the launch down but I think I did alright. The cars got a JLT intake, Borla s type exhaust and a base tune off the SCT x4.

One question I have is do you guys disable traction control completely or just run in track mode? Anyways here's my best pass. I'm on the right.

Switch into track mode and THEN disable advancetrac by holding up the traction control switch for 5 or so second.

3.73. An I ran in track mode with the advancetrac still on so idk if that was my problem.

Thats a good time for a first time going down a 1/4 strip.Try advance trac off it may help or u might just blow the tires off.More pratice and u will be hitting 12,s easy.Drag radials and u will deep in the 12,s.

Great time for your time. Your 60ft is the same as mine.... I'm a 30 year track veteran. I have an afraid intake only. You should disable the traction control/stabilitrac system totally and launch off idle. You will hit 12s, trust me.

Not bad at all for a first time out with a stick shift. Turn traction control completely off for a better sixty foot. Did you run at Atco? It was hot as balls today. That's an easy 12.5in the fall with good air.
