What if the price is $150,000?
Or, perhaps the opposite happens.

Ford, as a 50th anniversary promotion sells each and everyone of the 50th anniversary models for 50.00 dollars!

That would be awesome.

I just wouldn't count on it that's all... :ford:

Considering that order banks won't officially open before May 20 (at earliest) and build scheduling is based upon the most efficient fulfillment sequence rather the chronological order receipt, these cars aren't likely to get built sooner or later than any others. Most dealers won't even try to input an order even if CONCEPTS still will momentarily accepting them.

Congrats to both of you. Especially to you, future owner of the kona 50th. Wish I too could afford one in the Wimbledon. Sad, 1000 of the top dealersin the usa will get one, and will mark them uplike crazy. My dealer is counting on getting 100k for theirs. At least I see you can get a 50thpackage for the premiums of both 2.3 or 5.0. My fiancee will be happy about that, just have to drive one with the 2.3 and the auto and manual before we lock down which transmission.....but will be the guard color http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php/2015-ford-mustang-1747.html

One is listed on EBAY with a Buy-It-Now price of $69,999.00. Bidding is currently at $60,300.00, but reserve is not met.

If it actually goes for that amount, I'd love to see the PayPal transaction confirmation.

Of course, the odd unit will sell for egregious prices in markets like Hawaii or stores that cater to clientele with more money than sense. But any dealer claiming to expect $100K is either pulling your leg or shouldn't be allowed to play with sharp objects.

They surely won't be discounted, but the vast majority will go for anywhere between $0 and $10K above sticker, with most of those being in the lower half of the range. By giving relatively few doted relatively large numbers and putting them at the beginning of Job 1, Ford was very smart in helping to ensure as few as possible wound up as easy pickings for dealers to keep their one and only allocation in their own private collection and the most cars wind up in the most enthusiasts' garages as possible. Ford is glad to have them be prized, but it doesn't profit a nickel beyond its normal invoice/holdback terms and it doesn't want them being inaccessible. It wasn't them in enthusiasts' hands as rolling marketing machines.

Some people may have been willing to offer steep premiums to secure one, but market pricing once the cars actually arrive is bound to settle down considerably. Only the stupidly priced won't be pre-sold anyway. And after sixty days, they're just another piece of rolling stock sucking up floorplan dollars.

A lot of people will needlessly scare themselves out of the market.

I'm just curious that since the 50th Limited Edition models will have a vin coded 2014.5 that maybe they will run a job 0? Since when I ordered my L.E. it had a note saying this car can not be built in job 1...

Unfortunately Ford allows dealers to sell vehicles at whatever price they can get for them. When the 2010 GT500's came out, the dealers in Columbia SC were asking $20k over sticker for all of them. I luckily found a dealer in GA that sold me one for sticker and met me half way with the Shelby on a rollback truck. That's customer service at it's finest.
I checked with the same dealers about the 50th Anniversary model and only ONE would say it will be $5k over sticker. All the others just said 10 to 20k over, just nuts.
Congrats to both of you that ordered the 50th!! Can't wait to see the pics.
