First MyKey setup

[2015 drof]

I did my first "MyKey" setup. Very simple. Limited radio volume, limited speed to 65, disabled the ability turn off traction control. I did mine as a test, has anyone used a MyKey for a legit reason?

I set mine up and that is the only key I give any shop, that way no lot kid can play with the track modes.

I set one up for the shop when I got my windows tinted and clear bra installed. I wish it had more restrictive options. And I wish it didn't always default to the least restrictive when you clear MyKeys then set one back up again.

If by throttle you are reffering to rpm, I don't think it limits rpm but it does limit speed. I will tell you that I was surprised how easy it was to set one up.

This sounds perfect for shops and kids. I will limit my son to 30mph when he is 16.

So I valet boy can still do burnouts and doughnuts so seems kinda useless for that use.

Yeah I think limiting the throttle (RPM) is way more effective than having a speed limit. I wish Ford updates their software.

The lowest speed is 65. Still way to fast to act like a valet key. The best you can do to prevent everyone you hand your keys to from tying out launch control is to lock traction control on with MyKey.

On my S197 I used to use the speed limiter all the time to make sure I didn't get a ticket by not paying attention to my speed.

The slot is in the cup holder, the rubber base in the bottom lifts out and the slot is in there.
