I got the car home and went to put it on the hoist and it is no better than the old car so like the old car I put aluminum pads under the rocker so I can use flat rubber pads to lift the car.

Yes the pad bolt right threaded holes Ford so kindly supplies. The rear threaded holes are for the convertible reinforcements that the coupe doesn't use and in the front there is two bolts that reinforce some welds so you can pull the bolts and uses longer ones with the pads. Now I just swing the hoist arms under the rockers and under the pads and I can lift it. I don't have to align the weld seam since you don't want to lift by the seam as it will bend.
