Pouring rain here today on Big Island, plus with the volcano eruption going on you gotta be careful of acid rains (seriously). So today, I swapped out the 2018 rear wing for the 2019+ S-wing. Install was easy other than getting the old 3M automotive tape to lift. But some fishing line helped.

Wicker wing will go on later.

Then I need to clean all the fingerprints off of it.

Are you going to change the front grille as well? The 19+ cars have a smaller opening to apparently balance the increased downforce with the 19+ swing and/or gurney.

Not sure yet. Never been a fan of replacing the grills as those damn tabs break SO easy.

But in checking the front (top) grill is the same part number at Ford for the 2016-2020: FR3Z8200AB

Not sure about the part number situation, but the 2019+ non-R GT350s definitely have the front grille with the smaller opening (just like all GT350Rs, even pre-19). It was one of the changes implemented for the 19 "refresh".

I did the grille swap - was fairly easy once I figured out how to gently bend the "razor blade" clips and disassemble things.

I scored a complete assembly (it's two parts - outer is the same, but the inner is the one with the smaller opening) for around fifty-bucks on Ebay, as it didn't have a badge on it and was considered a "factory second." I disassembled the new one and reused the old outer with the OEM non-R badge.

Yep, I just took a look at the pictures from my 2019 and the grill inner is slightly different, Has a bottom piece that comes up a bit and makes kind of a sideways bracket look ([ rotated right).

Thanks.

What did the old wing look like? The thin blade style? Nice car btw. The stripe accents stand out.

Have you considered going all in on OEM aero updates and adding the "R" splitter?
