I know people talk big numbers with these mustangs but even 500-600 hp is a lot and more than enough to get in over your head
Oh no doubt. I learned in my 300 hp v6 that it doesn't take much for a fun idea to turn into a bad day haha. Will definitely be a gradual learning period but hey you gotta get there somehow

Just don’t kill anyone before you get there. Get a lot of rubber

I just got my first SC car. I have done a bit of autocrossing and HPDE stuff with my '08 Bullitt, but the jump from 315hp to somewhere over 700 will definitely be a challenge. I'm thinking autocross should teach me a lot about throttle control. I rarely had to worry about too much throttle with the Bullitt. This will be a different story.

Maybe its me, but it seems several are overreacting about boosted mustangs and the power they have.
Maybe the op is only 18 years old and needs a side of caution, but I'll assume he's an adult and can drive. This will be my 3rd boosted stang and I can honestly say I only had one oh $hit moment and that was at the drag strip when it got sideways around 50mph. Luckily I saved it and managed to stay in my lane and I don't granny drive them on the street either.
You just have to know the feel of your car.
I think he'll be fine since he's accustomed to RWD.

Thanks for not making me feel like I should be regretting my decision haha. With great power come great responsibility right... should be a fun weekend car.

Lol, no I wasn't trying to do that at all. I'm saying its not near as bad driving one as some let on. Have fun with it and kick the rear out when conditions are right. I think they are a blast to drive and I can't wait to get mine boosted since its been 4 years since I sold my boosted 14 GT.
