That really sucks about your wheel... sorry to see that.

I done it Sunday morning On my way to church at the drive through car wash.
The cleanliness of your wheel is one of the MANY reasons not to go into a drive-through car wash. That, and the complimentary paint swirls.

Also, I'd be worried about that tire damage if I were you.

That sucks. It happens, though; every car I've ever owned has had curb rash on all four wheels. It's not a big deal.

However, that tire is a problem. You can't let it stay like that; I would buy a new tire, wouldn't bother trying to do tire repair on a sidewall. Danger of a blowout is too great.

...it could have been a touchless car wash to avoid the swirls. Although some of those sprayers are like freaking sandblasters on paint.

Sorry man. That does suck. Best of luck getting it fixed. I believe the price of those wheels from Ford is about 1200 a piece or so.

Glad I got wheel and tire coverage. Just in case.

That's painful to see/hear, not only because of the damage to the wheel but also the lovely swirls that automatic car washes leave behind.

Definitely need to replace that tire though. Any sort of gash like that in the sidewall is just a ticking time bomb of a disaster waiting to happen.

Best of luck!

Ya'll ever hear of a "touch less " car wash?
