I've always washed my car in drive-through carwashes with the octopus arms slapping it. Never had a problem and it always looks great afterwards. Wash it three or four times a year.
That is pure death for your cars finish. Becomes a swirl mark haven.
I've seen the amount of work (and money) it takes to repair paint after those things so not even once for me.
Yep. Tons of marring that has to be corrected.

Sorry man. That does suck. Best of luck getting it fixed. I believe the price of those wheels from Ford is about 1200 a piece or so.

Glad I got wheel and tire coverage. Just in case.
Lol it's not 1200 a piece.. Maybe all four.

Don't wash your car when the car is hot from the sun. The sun will heat up the cars paint and clear coat. This makes it easier to scratch!!

I've never had it happen to any of my cars. I work at power plants so I use touch-less on my company car weekly and once in awhile my mustang and have never had any paint blasted off.
If the car already has a paint chip, bubble, or some kind of defect a hard sprayer will definitely make matters worse.

I think I was the first I curbed it last week rushing in to work. Mine is not quite as bad though and Im planning a set of aftermarket wheels and tires. But I feel your pain!
