I bought a tech pack car as well. While I doubt I'll do any auto crossing with it I would like to take it to a few open days at the local road race facility. That being said I'm a little disappointed to hear that a Shelby GT350, R, Track Pack, Tech Pack, or Base can't go out and take a days beating without issue. I love my car (although I've only put 150 miles on it) and am not bashing them I'm just surprised to read what I've read.
?????? What are you talking about??????

I think you should go back and re-read what you have read as it did not all sink in.

With auto-x the advance track does spaz out from time to time. I have found it most often occurs when in quick succession I am moving from gas to brake to slow tight turns all within a short time period, say 2 seconds. Most of the time it fixes itself during the run however it puts the car in Normal mode.

Didn't have an issue on a road course or when the auto-x course is fairly open and high speed.

I too was running auto-x this past weekend in 100 degree heat and the tranny temp on my tech pack got to 215F. It was a 2nd gear course and had (6) runs with about 10 minutes between runs; hood open between most runs. Oil temp didn't rise above 240's and coolant stayed in the middle of the gauge. I think I saw the cylinder head at about 212F.

Ride home in NYC stop and go traffic in 100 degree heat the tranny hit a max of 228.

Curious as to how you were monitoring Trans temp?

It was with MSNE and took place at the Meadowlands. They are not SCCA but instead are affiliated with NASA northeast region. Our cars compete in class B.

This upcoming weekend the 21st there is NYR SCCA out here on the Island in Farmingville. Smallish lot but it has a lot of elevation change and is well run. I'm signed up and our car runs in class AS. http://www.nyrsccasolo.com/

There is also one with MSNE on the 21st. http://www.motorsportsne.com/

Meadowlands on the 28th with NNJR SCCA - http://www.scca-nnjr.com/

I understand the R and track pack don't have the issues. I am saying regardless of which model, you are buying a Shelby GT350 and should be able to beat on it for a few sessions without lighting the dash up like a Christmas tree or going into limp mode. Again, I'm not bashing the car, just a little disappointed to read all of the threads with these issues. Just my opinion based on what I've read so far, don't get your panties in a wad, I've yet to have an issue with mine.....lmao

No...re-read what you wrote. Here...read below. You listed ALL models in your statement.

Right, I listed them all, saying you should be able to take anyone of them out and run them without issue. Obviously the R and track pack should do it better but they should all do it.

Piped in fake engine noise.........

Blah...

Is it? No one has answered what is being pushed through that system.

It could possibly canceling out frequencies with other frequencies.

I would like to know if it is an auditable sound coming through the system or is it a frequency that you cant even hear used to cancel out "bad" road or exhaust noises that are considered annoying.

I understand the desire to choose to use vehicle systems and in todays age, everything that doesn't harm vehicle operations needs to be selectable by the driver.
