Autocrossed for the first time

Finally broke in the car, and got to push her.
Ran in the Novice Class, finished 3rd, clipped a cone on my last run which would have been the fastest of the day for me.
Had a blast can't wait till next month!

Something going on with the new iphones, was talking to my buddy and his was doing the same on his Corvette, I thought it was the engine harmonics or something, but it wasn't, going to try a different mount next time.

Take it easy on the gas. You're doing a lot of stabbing on the throttle...that rrrrRRrrrrRRrrrrRRrrrr, especially through the slalom, a place where you definitely want to be steady as those little blips could throw you off big time. Every time you do that, you're transferring weight from front to back. So if you're in a corner, not only does the car have to deal with yaw but now dive too. Trust the car to stick and not have to make so many input corrections with your feet.

Yep I noticed that, this is really the first time I had a chance to open it up some, took some rides with Instructors, I'll do better next time!
The Instructor ran a 52.2 in my car, that run was a 52.499, so I happy I got close being it was my first time. lol

The car definitely has a 51.5 in there on that course. All a learning experience!

Good runs and fun of course... now you can improve on your weak spots. Whether autoxing or on the actual road course/track... always heed to smoothness = faster.

My first auto-x was a huge success. Cannot wait to do it again. My instructor didn't drive my car but he definitely gave me some helpful pointers.
