Wow, that looks awesome! Great work. Any reason why you kept the rear seats if you are looking to save weight (of if you are). Looks like the roll bar prohibits anyone from getting in the back anyways.

In the event of a crash *knocks on wood* the 6 point harness, helmet, and hans device, your face doesn't fly forward enough to even come close to an airbag deploying =]
Is your car track only ? Or you drive it on the street as well (with helmet, 6-point harness and HANS, every time) ?

BBB, I like your intro line "I'm always right" better than your new one "I hate you".

Honestly, I think a great intro line for you might be "King of Snark". Would you try this one out for a week?

He wasn't wearing a HANS device and was also known to not like his belts tight all the time.... It's was because of his death that they became mandatory. /off topic.

IIRC, he was prone to move the floor mounting position of the seat belts, and Simpson kept cautioning him against that. Ultimately, Simpson's warning of belt shear proved true. The new mounting positioned put the clip at an angle, which sheared the belt from one edge, just as Simpson predicted. Horrible way to get an "I told you so".

Why did you decide to go with the premium trim instead of the base trim to save weight? Having that wheel and all those other devices kinda makes all the tech stuff useless.

What did you loose besides cruise control and phone by switching out the wheel?

Ability to switch gauges?
Ability to ???
Is that a 350mm wheel?

Once again, looks awesme dude.
You actually end up loosing a good amount of stuff lol. I didnt even think about it until I got in the car and drove it. Basically all the settings and menu options on the dash. Some key ones that bothered me is the ability to check tire pressure, track apps, changing the ambient colors, list goes on. Its a 330mm wheel.

Been shopping around for a clean rear seat delete. I'm hoping the GT350R rear seat delete comes down in price lol.

95% track time, the other 5% would be driving to the track or various shops. But I see your point, the long term goal would be to have the car trailered around. For now I will just have to get by =]

At the time when I purchased the car, I had no plans to go this far with it. It was just supposed to be a fun daily driver lol. One of the reasons I wanted the comforts of the premium. If I could go back and start over, I would have just purchased the base GT.

Doesn't seem worth it...may as well just use the stock wheel and add a fuzzy cover to it. Bam, instant sparco wheel.

Remember Hans saved Luke from Darth Vader. That's safety you can count on!

Yeah some of those feature are really neat. The only main benefit I see of switching to the sparco wheel is to be able to extend the steering wheel out towards my body more. I'm tall but i have short arms, so I have my seat all the way back but have a difficult time reaching the stock steering wheel location. I have a GT350 wheel I ordered sitting in its box still that I may change over to. We'll see

You should be able to get a cheap and small device with buttons if you wanted to wire it.

Than it actually makes sense, if it's primarily track device. Most people do all kinds of mods and go once / twice a year to the track (or never).
