well it's considering property in sc lol. same thing with boats, jetskis, etc.

our car taxes in my county are a little higher because our property taxes on houses is dirt cheap, low sales tax, dirt cheap insurance, lower cost of living etc...so we do get hit on the car taxes but in the end it's still cheaper. Example my car taxes in 2015 on this mustang are probably about $900-950(next year will be less) but my insurance is $375 every six months. I live in a 4100 sq ft house and property taxes every year on my house are $1500 lol which is only $600 roughly more than my car...I could only imagine what 4100 sq ft in taxes is every year up north and out west
Dude, my insurance for my two cars is going to be almost 1400 for 6 months lol. I'm moving in with you. It's still much cheaper, I was gonna say 900 a year, even moving down will quickly surpass the 2600 in taxes I paid, but with all the other savings you guys have, it's not even close lol. I was excited to find insurance as cheap as I found it too actually lol.

I pay $300 a month for insurance, which equates to $3600 a year. Absolutely outrageous, but the cheapest I could find and get by about $150 a month.

Mine works out to 226 a month. I had some quote up to almost 500 a month though! NY insurance is literally insane.

i would still go crazy ...

*struts off with my $375 every 6 months insurance premium* In all fairness I got house, cars, jewlery, and I've been with same insurance company since I was 15, so 15 years now...so multi discount and loyalty tenure discounts thrown in there too. Oh and clean records on both my wife and myself. Without discounts it would probably be closer to $500-550 every 6 months just for the mustang.

Oh, it turns out, the car also has the reverse parking sensors or whatever they are called. I completely forgot about that one lol.

Some of these insurance and taxes people are mentioning seem frighteningly high.
We have an Ad Valorem tax in Georgia, sort of like a sales tax we pay, then $20/year for tag renewal. The Ad Valorem is based on the value, not the price, $2695 in the case of my GT.

I'm 22, and live in Canada. Hadn't owned a car prior to my 2012 v6 so the high insurance premium is pretty standard here. I'm sure it's downright dreadful in the US by comparison though.

My first car was 260 dollars a month to insure a 2001 dodge neon in 2010, with 200,000 miles on it, for nothing but state mandated minimum coverage. I can't even imagine what the insurance would have been on a mustang. I was not young either, I turn 28 next month lol.

My insurance premiums are supposed to get cut in half at least when I turn 25. I'm super excited, just wish it was sooner.

"Pay us $145 for someone to put miles on your brand new car"

Lol they must be off their damn rocker. I would NEVER pay to have my car shipped from one dealer to the other. That's pretty crooked if you ask me. I had my dealer drive me 100 miles so I could pick up my car and drive it back.

Well, it's not from one dealer to another, it's from the dealer to my house 60 miles away lol. If they didn't offer me the flatbed, I would have just given 100 bucks to my friend and be a jerk, and have him drive me all the way there lol. I just feel better getting it delivered, it's more of an affair too, I can feel special as the car is dropped off and all my neighbors can see. :p
