After a divorce and 15yrs since i had my built 1990 gt drag car......i finally found a 2017 grabber blue GT 6spd. Picking it up tomorrow, so now what are the mods to start. What exhausts do you recommend here, shifter, etc etc.

Immediate plans are lmr gt350r rims with nittos
Mgw shifter
And some exhaust.

Over winter its getting an ikon gt350 clip with gt350r hood.

Then either going with hellion turbo, or build the basis for the turbo kit.

Pix up tomorrow.

Your initial mods make sense to me. Do you like to lower your car? That's an option. As far as exhaust, what type of volume are you looking for?

Do you want it to be a track car, drag car, or a DD that you can tear up some decent curves with on the weekend?

Congrats and welcome to the forum.

Lots of things to do with an S550, aftermarket is getting larger and larger each day.

What site were you a member of when you had your Fox?

Welcome. Join us over at the Grabber Blue Mustang Registry. There's a FB page and a website.

Also, I would ask you to consider MP Concepts over Ikon Motorsports for the GT350 front end. I did a lot of research and MP Concepts has better reviews. I went with it and I'm happy.

Just installed the mbrp street catback....did a lot of research and wanted to try this one out because corsa was too raspy.....and the sve gt350r rims with nitto tread, and the original gt350 center caps.

Extremely happy

Trojan, its really better than the ikon? Did your body shop have trouble? Do u have a link?

Hi there. At work so can't find you the link. But it's the one that American Muscle sells on their website. Call them and tell them you're in a car club and you were trying the discount code but it wasn't working (they disabled them all). They'll still honor the 6% off on the purchase. I don't know how much trouble the shop had, because they were incompetent and shitty in many ways so I can't blame the bumper. The fitment now is great, so maybe they had no problems or maybe they did and they handled the fitment problems well. They were not good in other areas so I wouldn't recommend them. The reason I prefer the MP Concepts over Ikon is that the current Ikon is sold with a three piece front lip, so you have the separation marks and it looks bad to me. Old/original Ikon was a solid front lip, same as the MP Concepts. But I don't believe you can find those for sale any longer.

Man I wish I would have gotten that color. Congrats on the divorce gift.

I bought mine after my divorce was finalized as well. That Gen 2 engine is stout.

Thats a sweet car.
Non PP? If so, suspension upgrades goes a really long way to really button the car down on the street. 100s of options to choose from

I had to wait 47 years for a Grabber Blue Mustang.
I BEGGED my dad to let me get a 1970 Grabber Blue Mach 1 in '70.
I ended up with a Yellow Maverick Grabber.
Finally in 2017, I got the Grabber Blue GT.

I passed on a few Mach 1 over the years and never really got into cars,
mostly trucks, Jeeps and Harleys. (20 in 25 years)

Now that I have the $$$ to buy one, I'm not interested.............

Alright, update #2.......installed some steeda stop the hop braces and jacking rails.......

Got a crazy deal on a rebuilt mantic dual clutch....bought it, ordered boundry billet opg, tss billet crank sprocket, dss 800 axles, eibach sport springs, mantic race shifter, jpc braided clutch hose and sent drove down to limitless performance and fab for the twin turbo kit (yes i out the stock rims and tires back on....yuck....235’s all around). Drive was straight through....left at midnight and got there at 3pm.....thanks to Russ from lpf for letting me in and taking me to the airport to fly back.
