Filling coolant after VMP install.

Is there anything special I need to do when filling the engine coolant back up after install? Instructions show an evac tool which I don’t have. I lost quite a bit when I removed the water pump and the rad is empty . Will the system prime itself if I just fill from the degas bottle?

Yes you can fill it without the tool. You'll have to let it burp and keep filing it. Some guys get under the car and squeeze the lower hose with the car idling to help air get out. Having the nose in the air helps too.

and have the heat on as you burp it healps get the air out of the heater core also
